How to use these NAPLEX Calculations Part 3 practice exams

Exams 1 and 2 are 40-question sets at an easy-to-moderate level on parenteral nutrition, electrolytes, infusion rates and enteral feeding; the Advanced Practice set has 50 questions built on connected patient cases. Pharmaceutical calculations belong to Domain 1, Foundational Knowledge for Pharmacy Practice, in the NAPLEX Content Outline, but on the exam they usually arrive inside a patient case, so read the whole order before you calculate.

  1. Start with Exams 1 and 2 in Study mode and write out every setup and unit before you look at the explanation.
  2. Take the Advanced Practice set in Timed mode once the setups feel routine.
  3. Review misses by reason with the 5S mock-review method: wrong formula, unit or conversion, rounding, or a missed value in the case.

Keep calculations going every week: the NAPLEX calculations 4-week practice plan gives a daily schedule, and CalcQuest adds case-based calculation practice for enrolled NAPLEX students.

These exams are included with eligible RxBoardPrep NAPLEX programs. Not enrolled yet? See what NAPLEX Prep includes, or try the question style first with the free NAPLEX mocks on our Free Practice Exams page.
