How to use these NAPLEX diabetes practice exams
Exam 1 focuses on pharmacotherapy and clinical decisions; Exam 2 on insulin, calculations, emergencies such as DKA and HHS, and integrated cases. In the NAPLEX Content Outline, treatment selection, hypoglycemia, counseling and self-monitoring devices fall mainly under Domain 3, Person-Centered Assessment and Treatment Planning (about 40% of scored questions), while insulin and dosing arithmetic uses the calculation skills in Domain 1.
- Learn first in Study mode. Take Exam 1 in Study mode and read every explanation, including the ones for questions you answered correctly.
- Then check yourself in Timed mode. Take Exam 2 in Timed mode in one sitting, without notes, as your diabetes checkpoint.
- Review misses by reason, not only by topic, with the 5S mock-review method: a knowledge gap, a calculation setup, a missed clue in the case, or a tempting distractor.
