What this exam covers

Forty-two numeric fill-in items, five single-best-answer items with five options and three select-all-that-apply items, in a fixed order so each case stays together. Parenteral nutrition energy, protein and nitrogen including nonprotein-calorie-to-nitrogen ratios and propofol calories; electrolyte and stock-product conversions with the potassium that phosphate salts contribute; sodium acetate and chloride distribution in acid-base disturbance; the arithmetic calcium-phosphate index and why it is not a compatibility criterion; pump rates, interruption and provider-authorised rate changes; weight-based drug infusions; gravity drip rates; enteral formula and feeding-tube calculations; and integrated case review with refeeding risk, compatibility and pre-release safety decisions. This is the advanced companion to Exams 1 and 2 and is scored independently of them.
