How to use these NAPLEX oncology practice exams

These two exams cover chemotherapy, toxicities, targeted and hormonal therapy, immune checkpoint inhibitors, supportive care and oncology calculations. In the NAPLEX Content Outline, choosing therapy, preventing and managing adverse effects and monitoring fall mainly under Domain 3, Person-Centered Assessment and Treatment Planning, the largest domain at about 40% of scored questions. The calculations draw on the quantitative skills in Domain 1.

  1. Learn first in Study mode. Take Exam 1 in Study mode and read every explanation, including the ones for questions you answered correctly.
  2. Then check yourself in Timed mode. Take Exam 2 in Timed mode in one sitting, without notes, as your oncology checkpoint.
  3. Review misses by reason, not only by topic, with the 5S mock-review method: a knowledge gap, a calculation setup, a missed clue in the case, or a tempting distractor.
